This only applies to T-mobile users. I have a Z600 with Cingular and I can use wap just fine.

I don't believe it's the WAP browser. I'm on T Mobile and have been using WAP on my z600 for 3 weeks no problem.
The only problem is with T Mobile: even before switching phones, I couldn't get to their T Zones. I called a month ago and they said the problem was at their end.
