oh? so softkey relief is beval!

in that case, it's pretty simple. Just right click on the softkey layer, and go Blending options. and then Beval and Emboss. Is it not in MO's tute?

@daboo: yes. experiment with the effects and you'll come out with lots of different softkeys.

How do i MAKE a diamond shaped softkeys bar from scratch?

If you're familiar with the pen tool (press P for shortcut), you can easily create any shape. Alternatively, use the polygon tool to create a 6 sides polygon at both ends, then fill the middle with a square. OR the easiest is to use the Polygonal Lasso tool to create your diamond shape then fill it with color.

yes - create a number of layers and a number of shapes - change visibility, add different effects to different layers and shapes, make some bevelled and others cut out, move them around on top of each other to create new shapes with funny/smart/good effects. Endless possibilities
