*#30# switchss on CLI (callers number sending)

#30# in front of the number you call will withhold your number.

@Boyi, no worries what you did wont affect your phone, just check your number is still being sent. it should still be, these GSM codes do less now than they used to.

There is an option on the phone that withhold your number before making a call and you can ask your operator too for that

@boyi, Like the man says the "Hide my number" feature is on P800/P900 but is for each individual call, in UK most networks will turn your phone to permanently not send your number, if you ask them, but if you have an extra entry for each number in phone book with #30# prefix, it will not send the number. but i think you need the normal numbers left in there so you can send sms from phonebook.

In the ISUP (the signalling protocol between the MSCs) there is a flag for sing that the calling number is hidden or not. But in BSSAP (the protocol between MSC and BSC) the number is phisically removing. There is on way to get the number over the air. This message was posted from a T610

There are computer marketing companys that automatically(withheld number) dial 100 people at a time, but if ye answer 2 quickly there will be no one on the other end, seen it on watchdog... This message was posted from a T610

haha

prolly someone stalking you

i see a few solutions if you want to stop this, wont help you identify it but

just pick up and leave your phone there, they are paying for the call
or turn your phone on silent and let them ring until they get bored

but i highly doubt you can find out who they are from any legal means...

good luck and i would simply block the number if i were you... if its someone you know and important.. they will end the joke when they realise can't contact you no more

cheers

Where do you get a listing of all such codes for a given manufacturer or given phone?
