I just did a quote sum up of what cannot be deleted

2 pics of 32x32 pixels each so these are less than 1kb each
classical theme of 51kb
two Sony Ericsson sounds, one of 358b and the other 590b
old phone 5kb
greeting 4kb
digirain 27kb
blank theme 3b
postcard theme 13kb
recording theme 600b

so the sum total that you cannot delete is about 104kb

given that the total of all the kb used in the phone as shown by memory status is 2397kb that should leave around 2283kb to play with. Although I recall getting more than 2000kb originally when I first got my T610 I cannot confirm now because obviously I don't want to delete all my other phone content

this is what i did and got 1958 kb of free memory ... first you go to pictures messages and then you select memory status ... from there i deleted all the useless and ugly pictures my phone came with , then deleted all the ringtones ( you can delete digirain, sonyericsson both mono and poly , greeting , and old phone ... then i went back to the menu and did a master reset ... dont stop it let it run ... then went back and did the same (delete what i just deleted ...hope im not losing you) and so on , did this with everythin including games wich i hate , dont really like videogames ... the only one you can delete is golf do that and you will get 1958 kb

p.s. almos forgot delete the themes also ... you can only keep original !
hope it works for you and please take caution on what you do to your phone ... its at your own risk !

The 13sec does not work on the t610 as far as I know, you will only cause problem by trying it over and over.

If you want to delete as much as possible try this.
____________________________

1. Do a master reset on the phone.

2. When the phone restarts make sure the automatic keylock never activate!! If this happens you'll have to start all over again. (I don't know why) To ensure it doesn't happen deactivate automatic keylock.

3. Deactivate background picture, screensaver and the welcome message.

4. Create a simple theme without any pictures, only colors and activate it. I used the default settings in Theme Creator Pro3G (or whatever the name is).

5. Go to the Games menu and select a game. Click More and go to the memorystatus screen.

6. Now you'll have to fill up the phones memory completly. I created a large file in notepad, named it test1.thm and transfered it to the phone. Then I renamed it, adjusted the size and send it again and again and again...
...until it said Free memory: 0kb. Then I trasfered a 1 byte file a couple of times just to be sure it was completely full.

7. Now open the My pictures folder. The phone will try to create thumbnails of the pre-stored pictures but will fail since there's no memory left. Just click OK to the error message and then the backbutton. Do this until all pictures has an 'X' as a thumbnail exept the flower, clock and the vodafone animation. These will have a hourglass instead.

8. Go to the phonebook. Create a contact named 'X' and try to assign a picture to it. I started with the animation.
When you select a picture the phone will say something like 'Unable to open picture. Delete?'. Just choose Yes and the picture is gone.
Then select the next picture and so on.

9. When all the pictures are gone, reactivate the background, screensaver, auto keylock and set the welcome message to standard. Restart the phone and your done.

Someone posted this a while ago, dunno who, credit goes to them.

After trying this I was left with 2035 kb and no flower pictures, YAY!

i think that at the end you always end up with one of any possible things.
1 mophun game (for example minigolf)
1 theme (classical)
1 jpeg picture (operators in my case)
1 gif (flower)
1 wbmp (rose)
and so on.
except for melodies, there are more than one of a kind, but we all end up with the same ones, no matter who's our operator.
some things can be different with different operators. i have my operators jpeg and someone else has operators theme (and can delete classical). the size of each thing vary, that is why the available free space differs. i think that when i had an "empty" phone i got to 2150kb.
that's at least my opinion.

well...i got about 2800kB free on my t610 phone. About two weeks ago the screen suddenly turned black, and after holding the "on-button" for a while i got the phone turned on again. i'll make a list of what i can remember that disappeared:
all themes
all ringtones
all pre-defined sms and mms
all pictures (even the flower)
all sounds (like the message-alert and the camera-sound)
all my data-accounts that i had made for gprs and mms
all games and programs
all the items to insert in sms (sound, pictures and animation)
and the theme was an ugly green one with nasty letters (probably some "basic" stuff, looked like windows 95 with 4colors)
i have not tried to master-reset the phone, because i like all the free memory. so the main-memory have to be bigger that 2MB. and the phone works just fine. has this happened to anyone of you?
