Ugh....so much wrong info hurts the brain.
If bought in a retail store on upgrade...it CANNOT be returned unless faulty. If you don't like it there is NO money back AT ALL. Not 7 days.
On new contracts it is still 14 days though. Not sure about mail/phone/web orders though.
And no, the P900 hasn't been recalled. The latest batch seemed to have some sort of error, but they weren't even sent out to shops. Once the bug is fixed then they'll be back on the shelves.
The 6600 hasn't even made it to shops and isn't expected to do so until Mid-january, as it has a lot of bugs at the moment apparently.
As for the actual topic of this thread, no, it is very unlikely that Orange will send another one out to you, especially if you don't have care.
The sync issue is most likely the software rather than the phone. My P800 does it sometimes, and it's not the phone doing it.
The rebooting happens on pretty much all Px00s anyway (although on the P800 it's the TOD (triangle of death) which is infinitely worse because the phone doesn't auto-reboot but rather sits there.
And as already mentioned, if you can get any sort of reception on the phone, then the aeriel system is working, and you're just entering spots of no coverage, or poor signal.
