actually it doesnt work with o2 cuz it`s blacklisted by the O2 netw and it won`t work with them .The simpleste solution si obviously to get urself a NON-O2 number (another company, that is!).Or u can do a change of software....u can do it here for 10 euro and it`s not illegal.There, i just don`t know where u can do it.

My mom has the same issue with a T300 and a O2 SIM, it says 'illegal mobile' and will not work, but if I put a voda or another sim in it works.

It can also be the settings in the hlr. Maybe they some changes over the weekend. I've seen gprs settings do this before. So basically there can be multiple reasons for this problem, you should ask your provider to investigate.

@smiley
It is not the problem of the sim card. It is definitily 02 black listed your phone.The way this blacklist work is like there is a central (international) database in Ireland I suppose and when some one reports a phone stollen the IMEI is added to this list. Then the individual operators update their database at different times so persumably 02 did it now, virgin may do it after a month, orange may doing it at some other time. So until the operator database is updated you can use the mobile. But eventually it will be blocked in every network. So you could sell the phone in another country and someone may be able to use it there because depending on the country many international operators hardly update their databases.

if other o2 sims in other

phones have the sma eproblem, even when is certain the phone is not stolen and/or black listed, it's worth an investigation me thinks. If o2 worked on their network it may cause sudden incompatibility with certain handwset protocols.
It's happened here with t mobile and T68i's last year. Took months to resolve and then suddenly everything worked again.
