> Why to get your P900 from O2, not CPW
Bookmark topic
Just a few things to note...
1) I think you will find that O2 are cheaper than you say... on the data tariff of 5mb at £8 a month, extra megabytes are £1 not £1.50
2) If you pay as you go on O2, then the price gradually goes down from £2 to 85p, dependent upon how much you use, with the 1st 100kb free
3) For a dedicated GPRS bundle, Orange charge £8 for 7MB, and its £2 for each additional MB that you use...
So;
Technically you could have 8MB on Orange for a tenner, whilst O2 only give you 7MB... then things pan out slightly...
5) If you go for the higher Orange GPRS bundle, you could have 15Mb for £14, with additional MB's costing £1.18... using the aforementioned O2 tariff, it would cost £18 for 15MB (basic allocation plus additional cost per megabyte to match the Orange offering of 15MB)... I doubt the O2 pay as you use tariff doesn't help much either... it would cost £23.59 for 20MB, on the orange bundle you would pay £19.90... Though O2 will undoubtedly be cheaper if anyone wants 125MB (!) of GPRS data
I think these examples show that O2 are not necessarily cheaper as you say... for many users, those who think 8 or 15Mb is enough for example, Orange will still be cheaper... you just need to work it out for yourselves using the stated figures offered on both websites to discover what is best based on the needs of the individual... rather than blindly assuming that because additional MB's are cheaper on one network, OVERALL, this does not always result in a cheaper monthly bill !
