Sorry - I've never had these errors / problems before. Can you re-format the c: drive? I think this is you best option - remember to back-up data files first (e.g. by synch with Outlook). Also you did not say if Sman was installed on the c: or d: drive - the recommendation is to install on the d: drive.

Just a thought, since i had general trouble some time ago with zipped files... but if it was a .rar or .zip file that you downloaded, did you unpack all files as opposed to just running the installer...?

(i don't know that you need to do this anymore though with newer unzipping type programs)

Yea mate did you extract the .sis installation file? As someone stated earlier, they installed it on their duo. Dont do this, you got to install it on your c drive.

No its gotta be installed on c. A file called smanrecog.mdl is automatically installed on the duo but thats just a safety feature which i wont detail here. Trust me, or read the manual, its gotta go on c for correct operation.

This is copied from the manual:
"We strongly recommend you install SMan into drive C:.  When SMan is installed into drive D:  and is running in memory, removing the memory stick makes SMan do really silly things. It is like driving on the highway at maximum speed and removing your steering wheel."

SB... Yep, your right, i have just been checking that out, in the manual and the forum...

I got confused with the bit that is installed on the duo to avert startup problems...

I still have mine completely on the duo though, like Jah mentioned... and I have had no problems... even when removing the duo when the phone is running (though i only rarely do this)...

A bit more detail on specific problems would be worthwhile if anyone can offer it... luckily for those nearby, my phone doesn't have a steering wheel !!! (Yet, SE are you listening, it may be a worthy upgrade...hehe )

I second the member who advised you to format c: drive, either that or try a master reset. I have never experienced or even heard of the error you are reporting with regards to a fresh installation. I really think what has been advised would be your best bet. Remember to backup any important data.
