Jah, its generic ( well its not any of the others ) i bought it 5 days ago unlocked from a local shop. not an SE service centre though. anyways phone R3A024, bt R5D ,Org R1A05 and CDA R1A04. i posted elsewhere and the concise reply was that restoring from another persons backup would only give me their software, not change the firmware too. and the SE support guy said that the internet upgrade only affects the organiser and not the other 3. ( what use is that? ) you still have to find a SE service centre and get the thing flashed. i tried the internet thing anyway and it did not work at all. it came up with please wait.......checking for SE installation blah blah, but the little bit bottom left on my window said done after only a few seconds and the windows flag top right stopped waving and the 2 little pc screens bottom right on the taskbar weren't doing owt either. some downloadable upgrade service eh??? i fear SE is performing an optical colon inspection on itself?
