XDA II has a bigger screen.
Runs PPC which has more, better apps. A lot are free also.
The camera is clearer than the P900 even though they are both 0.3 megapixel.
P900 has this big jog dial sticking out of the device.
P900 uses memory stick duo
P900 runs symbian UIQ that has what 400 apps if not 300.

I've been playing with an O2 XDA2 for the past few days (review unit) - in comparison with the P900 the XDA2's bluetooth implementation is awful - or perhaps I should say crippled. You can't even transmit photos to other devices by Blluetooth or infrared. Also using the XDA2 as your primary device is a bit troublesome because of its size - while the P900 is more mobile-phone sized. Just holding the XDA2 to your ear for extended periods is a pain because it's so wide.

In terms of SMS features, the P900 also wins hands down. The XDA2 has a nice feature in that incoming messages pop up on the main screen like "word balloons" on comics.

I also prefer Opera to Pocket IE anyday

The bottom line is that the P900 is a smartphone - a phone centric device with data features - while the XDA2 is a PDA+phone ... data-centric device with phone functionality. Which approach works for you is a matter of personal preference.

The XDA2 has loads of features in the PDA department but in terms of "smartphone" usability lags behind SE and even Nokia. I would recommend using it *with* a mobile phone as your primary "phone device" - and while the XDA2 is a great PDA the phone functionality here would be relegated to "backup." I would keep your main SIM in the smartphone with a backup prepaid SIM in the XDA2.

Complex no way.. ITS WINDOWS

From foldable keyboards to IR Keyboards

me and my friend were experimenting this cant transfer files through bluetooth and guess what he send me loads of pictures. so your facts and information are wrong.

maybe you have a different ROM version.

On the subject of screen size and resolution my laptop is better than the XDA. Also XP has more applications than PPC. But my laptop has no camcorder function and the battery only lasts 2.5 hours. But it has WiFi, which the XDA does not have. But I have not found a belt pouch to carry my laptop everywhere I go!

you dont need laptops ne more. A laptop now is a PPC with a keyboard and a 1 GB Compact Flash or a 512 SD card.

NOT A 128MB DUO.

I would consider the PPC device but the battery time sucks big time. There is an extensive review on Howard Forums comparing both the P900 and the XDA and should be read by anyone considering the XDA Device.

If you want pda with many apps you should get a palm os device. Comparable to ppc but stable and way faster. This message was posted from a T68i
