BoThide - I had the same problem with the first P900 I received a month ago - I sent it back for a replacement, firmware flashing made no difference for me either. The new one works fine.

It's more likely the combintation of the TDK Bluetooth PCMCIA,
the Toshiba Laptop, and the P900 BT. It's reassuring to hear
that some people have succeeded in using BT on their P900s.
It would be even more reassuring to hear that this is true also
for the particular BT setup that I am trying to get to work. If
everything else fails, I will get a replacement for the P900, but
I seriously doubt that that's the solution.

I would suggest trying to get other devices to see the P900. I found that I could get no devices to see the P900, I tried 3 bluetooth USB dongles in different PC's, 2 T610's, 1 Nokia 7650, 1 other P900, 1 IPaq. My Bluetooth dongle on my PC would only find "Unknown (Major:0, Minor:0)".
If other configurations can see it, then I agree, is not the same problem that I had.
