look what i got from: http://www.ocworkbench.com/2002/samsung/t100/colorshoot.htm

Everything is positive so far but the T68i is not immune from other shortcomings. For instance, the interface is a tad confusing, at least to me. A friend of mine described it as intimidating! The lack of useful information in the manual often led to "trial and error' while exploring the options. Another issue that creeps up every single day is speed. Well, the response time on the T68i is an improvement over the original T68m but there is still a lag here and there especially in the area of SMS. At times, the phone will "hang" for no apparent reason (and white screen when playing Naval Fleet) and I believe that the software is still buggy.

is this true?

greetings

The guy that wrote that review must really hate the T68i because it is better

First time I used my T39 or T68i, I was not "confused". It’s quite simple to figure out the menu’s, unless you are a total moron and unable to read the simple text. As for "Hangs or bugs", I have never experienced one yet, and I haven’t even turned my phone off in weeks.

Nokia 7650 and SE T68i are not in the same class. You must compare 7650 with P800.
7650 is a PDA-phone with an internal camera while T68 is a full-featured PDA-like phone.
If you want PDA features , internal camera and if weight and size are not your primary concerns , then buy a Nokia 7650 or wait for P800.
If you want a small , cool phone with all the features you can think in a phone then buy T68i , and a MCA-20 camera.
I would buy a T68i and a camera. Because it's easy to carry when I don't need to take pictures.
The other choice is to wait for P800.( If you really need the all features of a PDA and if carrying two devices is not a problem , any GPRS phone (T68 ) and a Palm Vx will be the best choice.)
Very true the T68i is a totaly different phone, the 7650 is in another catagory

By the time these phone are available for delivery, there will be newer phones "just around the corner." You'll be waiting forwever for the "perfect" device. Doesn't make any sence to wait especially 6 months worth.

My opinion on the T68i (coming from a guy that uses it 6,000 minutes a month)? I think (and pretty much is fact) it is the most feature rich, tehnologically advanced phone in existance. And, I actually use most of the features.

Are there a few shortcomings? Sure ... is there another phone with anywhere near the features? Well, the forthcoming Sendo Z100 is a tempting close runner up, less the bluetooth (but will be a dongle add on), and the Nokia 7210 is behind that. I am sure the Sendo will lack the battery life of the SE, and I suppose the Nokia will too, from past excperience.

The speed on the T68i? Yes, there are some issues in packing so much stuff into ne little phone, and SE is working hard to equalize where the processor is best focused. They definitely shifted slight focus to speed up SMS in the newest (R2B) software. I am sure SE would like to produce the phone with a faster processor, but they have the T68i now as it stands, until they invest the R&D for the next model. Or, maybe, and I cannot say for sure, they balanced the excellent battery life, with the option of installing a faster processor, that might have diminished the battery life. Personally, I am happy to lose some speed for a better battery life.

The P800 should be the ultimiate in technology, and, personally, I can't wait!!

Anyway, just my 2c

Jeff
