I AM CONFUSED...
So dose that mean i can change the cover at a service point for a charge insted voiding the warranty. (In the email i sent i didn't really want to tell them that i'll be changing the cover)

the servicepoint can make the coverchange (original covers) for a small charge yes....

I thought it automatically voided the warranty if you changed the cover and that the Service Centres won't do them for you?

And I was told that the upgrade to the t68i software WILL cost, although they haven't said how much yet....

I agree it should be free if your phone is under warranty...

think that depends on the service point... there are surely some service points that will do it...

Couple of questions about upgrades.

1. How do we know if we need to upgrade. I'm assuming that there is some way to determine what version of the firmware we are currently at.

2. Are there any new features that come with the upgrade? Is there some place that talks about what the upgrade fixes or does?

3. Does anyone know of a place that I can take my handset to have this done in Los Angeles, CA?

guys, im trying to upgrade my t68m firmware. Ive previously had it upgraded while it was under warranty, so technically its a t68i.

The person at the service centre in manchester said that upgrading the phone from a t68 to a t68i is free, even if the phone is out of warranty.

However, because my phone has previously been upgraded to a t68i and is out of warranty, i will be charged for the upgrade. they are saying it costs £30.

Could some UK dwelling peeps confirm this for me?

@parvski

yes you must pay if it is out of warranty.

You should check around to see if it can be done cheaper cause £30 seems quite expensive
