I think you may need to carefully look at your phone settings. Here are some troubleshooting techniques. First attempt, make sure the headset is set to connect to any device without confirmation. All you have to do is double click the HBH-65 from the device list and check that little box. Make sure you have the primary answering tool set to headset and normal keys. That’s located under phone preferences. Also make sure that the voice dialing is checked as well. The BT settings should be set to always connect, blah blah blah. If all the above does not work; uncheck the ‘speak caller name’ option. It sounds like your BT is not picking up the calls because the settings are screwed up. Go through all the above very carefully. The reason why I say that is because your issue can be reproduced. The end user is given an option to answer their calls through their handsets first if they so desire. Thus, this may not be a defect with your device.

BTW: I still think the HBH-200 sucks. Primary reason; It does not perform as described. Its suppose to be compatible with the P900, but with the hidden SE discretion that all described features DO NOT WORK!!!

thank you for the information, i have tried everything you descriebed and i have my phone configured correctly. Now (with the hbh-65) it works almost every time, but not always. And its only when people are calling me, it never fails when i use voicedial. I personally think its odd and bad that this doesn´t work perfect. BT is not a new technology.

I bought my mom an HBH-65 just a week ago. It worked fine with her Z600. I used it twice and the second time around when I was driving my way home, I tried calling and it seem to have lost it's bluetooth connection. I suggest that you try re-pairing it. Go and remove pairing for the HBH-65 from your phone. Turn off bluetooth for a moment then turn back on. Press and hold on your "Call Handling" button on the HBH-65 until you get green and red lights flashing, now you are ready to pair the two. I believe this would fix it, I tried it and it worked. I really think that P900's bluetooth is weak compared to the Z600. The sound quality of the HBH-65 is excellent by my standards, just like listening to your phones earpiece.

Sometimes my HBH-60 doesn't put the call through to the earpiece. So I press the button on the earpiece to transfer the call to it, all that I get is the beep, beep, beep tone as if the earpiece is waiting for me to say a voice dial name. It does not transfer the call to the earpiece.

Meanwhile of course, the caller is shouting "Hello, Hello" through the phone speaker.

One day someone will get this BT lark properly sorted.

Anybody know how to tranfer a call to the BT earpiece by pressing a button on the handset?

Skaff, if you answer the call on the phone and then press the headset button once the call will be tranfered to the headset. This works everytime.

What I would also suggest that you do is to just restart your phone or/and headset. That will correct the issue if your headset or phone is not defective. However, I don’t think there should have been an issue to begin with. The product should work as described. There are variables that affect how certain headsets react with certain phones. So it becomes difficult to diagnose the source of the problem. Especially when it seems like it’s a random phenomenon. Again, try restarting the phone first and that should kick it into gear. Don’t bother to try to get it to work when/if the phenomenon occurs more then twice in a row. More likely once it’s caught in that glitch you will have to resort to restarting it to get out of it.
