£440 is completely ridiculous - lol - have they gone mad ???
T630 is not an upgrade of T610 - its a "sibling" targeted at a different lowerend targetgroup. Even with the upgrade in screen the downgrade in housing (plastic, ugly buttons) is clearly targeted at the younger audience, while the aluminum T610 were/is targeted at the middle more business like audience. Besides the screen it offers NOTHING new - its the same poor camera, it still only has 2mb memory. Compare it to mobilephones from other manufactures at £440 and you get 6-9mb memory, real VGA cam, symbian OS, mp3 playback and then some - just to make an example.
£440 is the same price I pay for a simfree p900 in my country. Charging this for a T630 is pure and utter nonsense.
Nice phone but it should be priced about the same as you pay for a simfree T610 today max - which would be about £220-£250 - not a penny more.

yep - thats what I said - Im older than you - 42 - hehe
Which just proves my point above that the T610 is targetted at mainly the middle aged business like audience and the T630 is targetted at a younger audience. The fun thing is that the T610 actually managed to appeal to a much broader audience than what it was really targetted at - hence alot of younger audience's also took it to their harts - which helped make the T610 one of S//E's bigger succeses in rescent time and did move alot of marketshares. T610 - A classic.
PS: Dunno what all the faults you refer to in the T610 are ? - but dont expect any of them to be any different in T630 as its basically the same phone, using basically same software, simply different screen and housing thats all.

@miss uk: 1thing that never happened to the T610 is "freezing".The soft is very, very stable and u can ask every1 that owns one.I really killed mine and no hangs , NEVER! Seems like u`ve been misinformed. The camera? Just a typical CIF camera, not worst or better than other CIF.The price is ridiculous for the T630.Here a T610 is around 300$ in grey market and 350 euro sim free in shops.

agree
My T610 never ever freeze up - and that the camera is poor is not a fault - it just isnt any better - and it wont be any better in T630 either. Like I said - its the exact same phone, beside the screen and the housing.
Here is a fresh live test:
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-t630-en.shtml
strange though - eldar writes that the T630 has TFD display like Z600 - I thought it was supposed to have TFT - perhaps S//E changed their minds before release ?
