If i remeber correctly, didn't all the people who updated the first time experience a reversion in the CDA number once we reinstalled the back-up? Does this mean that we will not be able to update?

@Harleydog -

Are you saying that your CDA reverted from a certain ID after restoring your P900 using the phone backup feature? I don't think the CDA was meant to be upgraded in the first place so therefore it couldn't have reverted from anything. I believe that updater was using some kind of checker to ensure that only phones with OEM firmware could be flashed. Everyone (ie Orange owners) that got their phones flashed from a vendor still ended up with the same revision IDs (ie Phone, Organizer, Cda, etc..) as that of the ones that did it online. This is what showed up on my phone after the online update a while back and what all P900 with the latest (until today) should have on them.

I may have mispoken. I thought I have read somewhere that after the update when a backup of information was made and reinstalled, there was a change to the CDA no, but you may be right, that that cannot be changed

I figure the same place they placed revision specs on the current update. You'll just have to keep checking.

Can you upgrade your firmware as often as you want without any damage to your P900?

Its just that I got this mail from SE yesturday:

Telefon: CXC162022 R3C006
Bluetooth: CXC12529 R5D
Organiser: CXC162021 R2B02
CDA: CDA162003/1 R2A10
....

:s:s:s I'm from belgium and I bought my P900 2 weeks ago in a SE center

I've the following vers :
Phone : CXC162022 R3C006
Bluetooth : CXC12529 R5D
Organiser : CXC162021 R2B02
CDA : CDA162003/3 R2B01

I never didn't an update since I bought it. So what is the diff between the two CDA's? why one with a 'A' and mine is with a 'B'

So is it a real new version or just a localised new version
