it's not about what you can do, there simply is a max time for the sms to be kept on the relay system for the receiver to receive it, but as mentioned before, if they have theire phone switched of, or are not in reach of the network, the mesaage get's bounced after max time.
in your sms settings set the delivery time to max, that's all you can do, the rest is up to the receiving end...

An sms stays on the network's servers for 4(yes,imagine that,FOUR) days-a gsm standard,then deleted. The net tries2send it every hour for the 1st 6hrs,then at 12hrs and exponentialy upwards.U have the 'sent sms' that phone gives-doesnt mean it gets there and u have 'delivery rep' which is a network feature guaranteeing the sms got there.
