I'm sure they can be made inactive, but to delete may make it hard to search old posts under that name etc.
And if an account where deleted, new accounts with the same name could be created, this would cause some confusion

as mentioned before in the topic, we don't tend to delete account or posts.
in any case... unfortunately, with the history that google keeps, its unlikely your posts or username will dissapear for sometime, no matter what happens happens here.
if you PM me your exact concern I will try to see what we can do to help with that issue

@ djordje1yu : amazing job to find this thread. @ Vicx : did you turn notification on. @ both : PM Laffen to change your e-mail. PM Masseur to change your username. After that delete all your profile info and be almost invisable.
