available for mine as well.
"For CDA162003/2, the latest organiser version is R3A06"

I perfom the update, then a backup. the only thing I noticed as a difference is:

Control Panel/Time&Date

there is now a button summertime. it opens a new windows with 3 radio buttons:

Europe
Northern Zone
Southern Zone

I'll continue searching for differencies in the menus, but without release notes will be difficult to discover if there are enhancements or just bug eliminations.

Regards

Hello,

this is one of the biggest forums in germany about mobile phones.
www.telefon-treff.de
This guy only said that there isnīt any error message and he has 250,2 MB free space now...
We all want to get more information but we get no response from him.
So I hope anybody else can check this...

Greetings
Jeff

I am on CDA 162004/3 and the update service is still saying the latest organiser is R1C01 I wonder why us Orange users aren't getting the update?

Cheers,
Kenny

Those with CDA162004/x firmware are operator specifc firmware. until the operator does not release a firmware, we are not getting any updates.

i am in the same boat.

@Kangaroo

I e-mailed Orange about it a few days ago, and they replied:

Dear XXXXXX

Thank you for your mail.

I can confirm that it is possible to to use the
Online Update service that is offered by
Sony Ericsson.

I trust you find this information helpful.

Kind regards

Eva
Orange Customer Services

So by the looks of things, we may be waiting for SE, but if not they Orange will let us update soon

You might realize that some of these replies are coming from idiots. How can a representative give a confirmation when there's no data to support that evidence? Conformation would mean that it is already possible. I very much doubt that Orange will approve an online update.

@Bob24k

Think of it this way m8. If you're a company and you spend tons of money to get these phones modified with your software, would you allow the end-user to have the ability to simply wipe it off at free will? These firmware upgrades will have to wipe these contract phones clean of their provisioned software. Some customers actually like all that cookie stuff they put on there. Moreover, how do they get their money back for contracting these people to customize their phones with sofware that engineers and designers were paid to develop? It's not economically viable and it's not strategically feasibile.
