Same thing happened to me a few days ago..i was copying over a new batch of MP3:s to my 128MB duo but when I inserted the stick to my P800 it didn't find any files on it. I checked the stick in my USB reader and it said 10MB free, except that there was nothing else on the stick than the P800's file structure with empty directories.

So I guess there was some kind of corruption and the P800 didn't find anything so it just rebuilt the directories. The only way to free up space on the stick was by formatting Luckily I had a backup...

Yeh, the problems here are all just corrupt memory sticks. Some things just go corrupt and the files dissapear, but the memory is not freed, ie the memory stick can be full, but not have any files on it...

And to the guy that said it takes 5minutes...

Well, if i do a backup it will be using the PC-suite. The reason for this is that whenever I've done otherwise, Ie... copying the whole file structure to my PC using a card reader, when I copy it back, the folder names start going capitals/lowercase but kind of randomly.

Also, whenever I copy large amounts of data using the memory stick reader, I find that this has been the cause to my memory stick corrupting, which has happened a few times...

Basically I'm just over careful of what I do, and find that just copying the memory stick and all it's contents isn't a good idea. But that's just from my limited experience.
