Anyone who uses Ebay should be aware of the latest scams.
1. never enter into dialog with anyone who doesn't bid through the correct Ebay channels.
2. never use an Escrow system unless it is a well known and recommended one just as escrow.com etc
I sol some high value items recently and had 10-15 emails offering to buy them via escrow - everyone of the escrow sites was a scam!
Ebay don't seem to be interested in following up individual complaints and their customer support is dreadful (all standard replies) so please be careful.
The applies to buyers and sellers!!

I too have been in contact with someone selling for £200-£250 and they did seem VERY convincing, even gave me their home phone number but i did a little digging and found their address wasnt quite right/postcode doesnt exist!
Also the phone constantly rings and now that i have pressed them for more comfirming details that it isnt a scam, they are no longer replying to emails!
for reference his/her/its email address is
beachjani@aol.com and also
del.manning@tiscali.co.uk
he seems to have two different ebay accounts, both with 100% positive feedback.
i added the aol email to my aol messenger and as soon as i said hello, i got blocked

nuff said!
beware people!
