For me, clearing MMS's and texts saved about 100KB of room for me. Clearing off the templates gave me another 100 KB. Yeah!

Texts took up very little space, but they did take up enough space to notice. MMS's content was indeed saved. It was the MMS's which took up most of the room on my phone.

Another good tip (for those who just got their T310)
DO NOT OPEN THE EXAMPLE MMS MESSAGES! If you do they will take up 86 kb of ur space. Ur better off leaving them! If you have already opened them delete em
