Can you not file a claim through your credit card company? Dispute charges, claim money back for non-delivery... anything?

I am one of the lucky guys, that got a refund. I am sorry to hear that you have not got a refund yourself yet.
Why dont you go to your bank and explain the situation to them and ask for a chargeback to your card. This way, your not going round in circles.
I saw some information a few weeks ago a ebay forum, about freedom4mobiles and how they have refunded everyone. Under the post were replies from people like myself, who had been refunded.
It seems strange to me that they would give some people their money back and single out others. If I was you, I would write another letter to them, telling them that you have hired a solicitor and your are prepared to go to county court to get a CCJ placed on their names.
This will cost you more money, but at least you will stop it happening to anyone else, who pays a company for goods and they cease trading.
I think people will thank you for it as well.

In the UK, if you pay for anything over £100, and the company goes bust before you receive the goods, the card company is liable for refunding your money. It's then up to them to go and get their money back from the bust company.
It seems a little sus. that they took orders for £95 right before they closed opeartions. Maybe they saw a loophole to get some cash in...
Otherwise, I'm afraid you'll be at the very bottom of a long list of creditors. When a company goes titsup like this, everything is sold off, the banks, etc are paid off first, and customers are paid last out of what is left. Very often, they get nothing.

I have just found this thread through google. I really need a mobile.
I used freedom4mobiles and got my money back, but I really wanted the phone because it was so cheap.
I got my money back as well, I wanted to have the phone as a present for my daughter for her birthday.
When I got a letter, telling me that I had to send I.D. I emailed them straightaway and requested my money and to cancel the transaction.
I was further told that I had to wait a week.
I happy to say, I got a refund. This was weeks ago though.
