How do i find out if they are freeware?

Hmm. Sometimes the java games come with a readme file. In there it normally gives legal information. Most java games are freeware and i doubt anybody will take legal action against you. Just ask you to remove them.

when people post links to games here I just use google to find sites that are selling the same game. If I find any then I assume the games being linked to are warez and I disallow the link to that site.
Sometimes I will also download the game and try it and if it has copyright messages in it I will disallow it also.
I'd suggest you do the same before adding any games to your site.

@masseur,cheers,it seems like too much hassle if i gotta check whether each game is ok to put up or not so i think i'll give the games a miss,anyway,theres plenty of other sites that do games,i just aint got the time to check them in the way you say.
