I am confused! I have just had a look at Carphone Warehouse's website and the T630 is available PAYG fpr £280 on O2. But only in black? I thought T-mobile were the only people to do the black one?
If the link works here it is:

welcome here! switch 2 se and u ll c d real diff between noktendo and se right here. we show attention in case of our fones and each other as members here. we r not just 2 sell sg without any reason as at d brand called nokia, after - b4 buying a fone we discuss it and help 2 each other. any kind of questions u have they r always welcome. noktendo is far far away in case support like this. so buy that fone and join d club!

black T630 is a fact, because of the high demand, the white one is becomming the exclusive one. so black one won't only be for T-mobile.
i don't know for the UK but if you can't find a white one you can always buy it at expansys.

Why not try a se, most phone operators have a 14 day return policy from what i remember. Try the se if you dont like it then take it back!

I think i'll go to the local Phones4u, and see if i can get them to let me have a play on one. Only thing is i don't really want the T-mobile branding (Argos £180 PAYG) but i think the extra £100 from expansys (£280) is a bit much.
I guess i'll have to wait for more operators to have it in the UK

My main concern was how user friendly they are in comparison? I have read that there is sometimes a delayed response when using the joystick of SE's?
talking abt user friendlyness, the UI of the new high end nokia hps follows almost the same as the SE ones. and i find it faster too cos i use the keypad (numbers) to punch in the selection instead of using the joystick. but the removal of My Shortcuts was kinda disappointing. the only delay i find in SEs compared to Noks is probably when keying in messages but thr r ways to improve the performance on those too.
