The latest, current FW version is a must have, I think. My phone (also free on contract) came with this, and it's been absolutely good as gold - not a single crash or wobble in the four months I've had it. It's stuffed full of extra software (mostly on the 128mb duo) but everything works perfectly.

Compare that to all the horror stories the early adopters used to post here about it, with red triangles and regular lockups, data loss, etc - I think it's obvious things have improved quite a bit.

I've never even seen the red triangle. Quite curious about it, really.

oh - i have "view" by the way (UK English).

Hi - Just checked and it is version RTF and Ive had no problems with it thus far, unlike the previous version where the "yellow triangle" would be up at least once during the week.
As soon as my computer gets back on line Ill be after monkey island.. till then My P800 has more then exceeded my expectations... Im looking foward to seeing what else it will do.

Is there any way to upgrade the freeware yourself? Or you have to send it some where to some one?

If you have a P900 you can upgrade the firmware yourself from SE website. Doesn't work on P800 as far as I know... NOTE: If (like me) you have a P800 and a P900, you MUST use the docking cradle for the P900 to execute the firmware upgrade. I tried using the cradle for the P800 and got nowhere... Called SE support, and they said I might have a very early version of the cradle for P800, and that's why it didn't work. Firmware updates for the P800 should be free at an authorised dealer in any case...
