@all: Nice thread indeed

Anyone know if it's possible to surf the internet on P800 synced with the Mac's internet connection?

@wildcard! : absolutley no problems, i would have put a hash in your name but i cant find that key on the mac
For the last few posters; look at the mac bit of the "general" forum. its sticky and right at the top of the forum list. some helpful stuff in there about dialing from the mac's address book. very good topic for mac users.
salling clicker can be found at salling.com, and buy it as soon as you can. its amazing, im changing tracks and making itunes playlists from the other side of the room

i found scripts for quicktime, dvd player, itunes, iphoto, powerpoint, keynote and as it works with applescript you can make your own things to do with the clicker.
as for the mac internet connection - ask in the mac general topic. always someone in there to help you. it should be possible though if the p900 is detected as a bluetooth modem, i havnt got mine to find the p900 as anything other than a phone yet.

If you have Virtual PC, the complete SE PC suite works perfectly in it. I even have updated my P900 firmware a couple times all from virtualpc!
I think the "complete backup" that the PC suite provide can be very handy. It already happened that I screwed up the phone while doing naughty things on it (I am a developer, that happends)
Edit:
Oh on a side note, for the day-to-day synchronisation, iSync works fine. *However* it sometime stops recognizing the phone, in that case:
* Make sure the Mac is "Discoverable"
* Redo the pairing *via the phone, not via the mac*
* Try iSync again.
In my case it works fine. To send/receive files I use the default OSX app "Bluetooth File Exchange" and that also works fine most of the time, but in maybe 1/50 case, the app will crash, AND/OR the phone might also end up in an unusable state (locked up) and need a "hard" reset (press the ON latch for 10 seconds or so) then restart it.
So, it all works, but there are a few quirks

Hello again...
Just want to clarify something... Apple recommends MAC OS X 10.3.2 for symbian phones (P9/P8)... im running on 10.3.4. will the downgrade solve my problem? has anyone tried? iSync cannot add my P9 to the devices. Hope to hear from ya guys. TIA

when manufacturers stated a required version, it is usually, or even always that they say it as...this version or higher.
so when it says it is compatible with 10.3.2...it is also compatible with higher versions like the latest 10.3.4

Sounds to me it's a problem with your phone settings; be sure BT is enabled and the phone is discoverable (read the phone's manual for this).
If that's not the problem, try to find an other BT device (a friend's phone?).
Or try a different BT dongle.
Good luck!

bmsantillan......
I have the same problem. The problem is actually and issue with the firmware on your phone most likely. I purchased my phone a few weeks ago and was able to get it to sync with absolutely no problems in iSync everytime. Then, I decided to update the firmware on my phone to the latest (R5b02), and ever since then I have the exact same symptoms you have.
I did some research and found out there is a problem between iSync and this firmware, so hopefully, either SE or Apple will resolve it soon. I hope this sheds some light on your problem.

Hello all... Thanks for your replies...
Actually, my phone firmware is still on R3C006... Yesterday, i have successfully added my P9 to iSync devices.. having no idea how I did it.. hehehe just tried and tried. Yet after doing that, iSync still fails to sync.. its says "it could'nt connect" darn...
I am losing hope already hehehe plan to get rid of either my P9 or my iBook hahaha
