Update:
Phoned SE today. Asked me the normal questions...tried taking the battery out, tried resetting. Yep. Gave the woman my postcode and there are no service centres around my area. So, the end product is i'm having to send my phone off to Telford now.
Just hope it gets there alright.

Ok, sorry I didn't reply for a long time.
The story so far. Sent my phone off to Celestica in Telford and they recieved it on Monday 10th May, Got it back today, 8 days later all repaired. Didn't come back from Telford, it came from Hays technology centre. But it's completely repaired and with the latest software version.

Anybody have any idea what the last 2 numbers of the IMEI number mean? Mine's changed, used to be 13, now it's 21.

As far as I know and understand it each mobile phone has an individual and unique IMEI code/number. It seems as if you've got yourself a new phone actually.
For further information, have a look at
International Numbering Plans - IMEI Number Analysis, and especially
International Numbering Plans - Numbering plans guide - IMEI (SV): International Mobile Equipment Identity (and Software Version).

I see. It's the same case and the rest of the IMEI number is the same. So I guess they've just replaced the circuit board and kept my case etc.

The last numbers are for software versions. When you update there numbers change.

Yeah, according to that site it's the phone version. Went from 1.3 to 2.1. Another thing, does anybody know if the charge counter resets when you flash the firmware, because it's now at 0?
