Well i upgraded my O2 pay and go phone last in June as i smashed my old Nokia. Anyway with trade in and credit off i got my silver K800i for only £50. Its been dead reliable too.

You're still paying for the phone! That's what the contract covers. The price is subsidised somewhat, but you pay more for the phone than txts and calls, as they hardly cost the network a penny.
I bought my K810i unlocked the day it came out, I think it was about £229. But don't quote me, it was 18 months ago.
