I went to cebit and used the p800 for few minutes, but i can't recall anything about a memory stick
Also the guy there lod me it had 12 or 11 megs of memory, no mp3, but he told me that i could record music as mms or install a mp3 player

The P800 does not have a memory stick built in. It _might_ get an accessory to use them later.

Personal opinion, it will be much later, but it will be memory stick not sd card or whatever. Sony is too attached to memory sticks, nothing they produce uses any other card (as far as I'm aware).

The P800 has 12 meg of ram and no expansion slots! Sorry! The 128 meg is for the Sony Clié, which is a PDA and not a phone!

that would be really cool if p800 did have memory stick. Add it to the wishlist of features for the next phone

Guys... please remember sony invented memory stick... so I think we will have no chances in seeing a phone with any other memory media other than memory stick... at least for the foreseeable future...

it seems you did not get my point correctly. Sony actually has MemoryStick and uses it everywhere. The problem is that this device is quite big, compared to other ones, and could be a problem integrate it as it is now in a mobile phone.

So my guess is that they are working on a smaller one which, by an adapter, could also fit in the slots for the actual ones.
This could be the reason why nothing was built in P800...

But as I said it is just a guess.

I also wanted to point out that, a part from P800 an Z700, nothing new is on pages if you search for future models... This also convinces me that they are working on something and therefore that P800 might not be a long lasting phone...

About one month ago I talked to a Sony salesman here in Norway. He told me that Sony already had developed a new memory stick. It will be a little under half the size of the original, and of course with an adaptor to use it in old appliances.
