Unlocking no, (a warning: if u get the unlock code wrong 5 times your fone is broke, big style). but i think using the cable you can flash it but aren't sure how/where to get the standard firmware.

To unlock it you need the terminator dongle and software that is in places like cellular - support . com

And the t630, like t610 or z600, can acess messenger, icq, etc, with a java app named cmessenger...i use icq through gprs in my t610 with it

That site, like others, only gives you the software, you have to buy the cable, and learn how to use it before doing the stuff

Isnt there somewhere that can do all that for me? So i dont have to buy all that stuff?

Unless the cable you mentioned can also be used to transfer data to and from the phone aswell

I'm in the same boat with the T-Mobile firmware on my phone.

Has anyone got there phone flashed to the new firmware yet? While i'm at it, what is the key stroke combination to display the firmware version.

If the phone is ligitimate and not stolen, call up T-Mobile and pay them for an unlock code if you want the easiest and safest method.

The messenger service of the T630 is based on the "Wireless Village" service that several handset manufacturers and network operators are using.

Microsoft Hotmail should follow Yahoo!'s lead and offer access to their messenger service via a WAP site. Yahoo! has done this for a few years now, and you can see on a PC if you friend is on his mobile as the smiley next to his name/id has a mobile phone (cute).
