> z1010 standbytime.450 HOURS

the thing is, what the manufacturers are giving us are the battery life in a perfect condition. these claims don't normally happen due to signal maybe week or we use our phone for games. and also even it says 450 standby, we just don't leave our phone on standby mode all the time we make calls too. same thing with calling time, we leave our phone too on stanby mode so the mixed of uses really affect everything. on my experience with my ericsson T68 where I only use it for text on international roaming, I get 6 days of use. To summarize my usage, I get 6 days or approx 144 hours to use my T68 for text messaging, the signal fluctuates or sometimes really weak, and I also play games from time to time.

You can never reach the times that the manufactuer state. The
webby even states that the p900 can last for 20days on stand-by.. but if you actually ever use the phone and don't use it as a door stop, you'll never have the phone on for 20days without a recharge.

yeah but stand by means that you HAVE to leave it alone, i never look at stand by times, if i do then certainly talk time is a lot more "realistic"

Well the T610 has amazing standby time too in papers..
but in actual use these numbers dont say much, cause my T610 needs recharging every other day sometimes it hold a little more..
so 450 hours.. hmm considiring the phone and its functions I say it will be the same as my T610.. everyother day...

Actually its even when the phone is without a simcard, that when the standby is 450 hours..
Cause they the network wont effect the battery

if some1 uses there phone regularly, than it might need charging everyday.
assuming, u know how to take care of ur battery, it should be more than enough!!!
these numbers just show that the z1010 has a much better battery than any other 3g phone out there, somethin quite important !!!

And most of us use 2g handsets, and we dont want to change to 3g hanssets if they are worse!
We dont console our self with thinking that well Z1010 is better than the other handsets!! NO, we should think, what do I have today, and what should I have tomorow!
I will not buy Z1010 beacuase I think that its better than other 3g phones, no, I will buy the phone because its better than my current one (considiring my needs).. And yes I compare it to my T610, not comparing it to a Motorola 3g handset that I do not own..
So people please stop saying, well z1010 is better than the others, of course it is, beacause it SE!!!
Lets be real, and compare it to SE's own models and demand stuff.
SE phone are in general much better than any other brand, so comparing it to others wont do good
But anyway, 450 hours on paper is good, can't wait test the phone and check the battery for my normal use!
Cause numbers on papers wont say much about normal use..

u can compare it to other 2G phones.
for example, the sharp gx30, its smaller, has a much better camera, plays also mp3s,is much cheaper, and is lighter... so why buy the z1010 instead if ur gonna use it on a 2G network ?
