a software update will not reset the counter... can be some similair way for the T39 as it is for T68 (in the case with T68 servicepoints have the possibility to reset the joystick counter), I haven't checked the EMMA server any closer for a counter reset to T39 (and can't do it until monday since we have a power failure at work)...

Lusipher my friend, you certainly cannot be fooled into buying a "used" Ericsson now, but you will certainly be able to sell your used one easier if the counter has been reset. Besides, don't you reset the timers when you sell your old phone?

@haki - i couldn't agree with you more. It would be nice if one can reset everything when reselling your phone. Besides, you know that it was well taken cared of.
