> The great T630 rip-off

I don't think the t630 is a rip off. I don't like the t610 design but i do like the t630 so i wouldn't buy the t610 but if i needed a new phone i would buy the t630. And for people who didn't need a new phone when the t610 came out but did after a while, the t630 is a better option. When i buy a new phone i don't want an old model. So you got your point that t630 is only a upgrade of the t610 but what is wrong with that??

The T630 is a great little phone. Its good if you havea iPod as its really matches upto that.I use a P900 most of the time but then I also use a T630 for a gym work out or when I go clubbing. It look very classy.
I hope SE would come out with a titanium phone in the shape of a T630 or a K700i,that would be very cool.

I understand all your the sentiment on the T630.
I am just disgusted with how SE handle this without giving any due regards to consumers. The feeling is like:-
"you have eagerly waited for this and SE know that. That is why SE is going squeeze u first for every dime"
Originally, we are led to believe that T630 would be a significant update and it turns out to be not. Then when it was released, SE pitched T630 as higher grade (i.e. higher price) than the T610 which is understandable.
Then they just do a U-turn within a period of 1-2months and market T610 and T630 as same phone with different cover/casing.
From where I am living, both the T610 and T630 is going for about the same price.

@mib1800 - as stated t630 is slightly different. It is perhaps everything that the T610 should have been.
The reason for the T630 was as above or marketing.
Some companies need to respond to others, hit the market first or offer an upgrade, or alternative to attract more customers.
Nokia do it all the time 7250 > 7250i. Same phone but with xhtml browser and picture phonebook and not much else.
So I would'nt slate

for releasing a better phone and evolving their products

Led to believe by whom?? Not by
and here the T630 is more expensive than the T610, and also more expensive than the Z600
Naturally... the T610 is the oldest model and it's price has been a bit 'downgraded' if you like.
