However, if the warranty has expired or if there is any evidence of any kind of damage that can't be considered normal wear you will most certainly have to pay for it yourself.

yeah i know. My point was that if the cover was changed and the phone was broken in the process, if you did it while there was warrenty.. even though you've just voided it, you might still ge tit repaired for free
whereas waiting, and then changing and breaking, your gonna have to pay.
