j-walking, or more correctly jaywalking, means to cross a street illegally or in a reckless manner. this usually involves rossing the street in the middle of the block where there is no pedestrian crossing, or diagonally or against a light and technically illegal.
"jay" was once a word used to describe a silly person, so the implication is that jaywalking is done by stupid people because it is dangerous.

thanks. sounds like englands going the 'american way' when it comes to enforcement of the law. our traffic wardens have been given more power... going to try bluejacking there parking ticket machines. i think their handhelds are symbian os powered, mmm......

NETA WKi is a two piece unit comprising of the Psion Workabout utilising IRdA communication with the Seiko DPU3445 Thermal Printer producing a 112mm ticket at 50mm/sec.
I suppose you could try IRjacking the printer if you can get close enough

Well, now I'll have to drive to the police station and see if I get lucky enough to get some connection. If by chance I do, I'll probably send something stupid like "Pay back time for that ticket fool" who knows, it may be fun. So far 0 counts on Blue Jacking anyone.
