@Bjerkbanen: I don't think you should say it was a Turk, unless you're
completely sure. Just say a southern-european looking guy or something, otherwise it will start a racial confliction........

Its a shame when this kind of thing happens when you are venturing out into the world.. especially into a different country/city etc etc. Just glad to hear that you were not harmed, it could have got worse if say you had put up more of a fight - luckily for you mr friend you were not harmed, apart from a little shaken I suppose. Did you report it to the police? I know there was possibly nothing they could have done, but you never know.
I hope that in future you have pleasand trips to other countries. Ive been to Glasgow once, just thru it working really

I too love travelling, but havnt been able to do toooo much of it just yet, being just a little older than 18
This year (so far) ive been to India and Dubai and am planning to goto Ibiza in August/September time. I also plan to goto some European Cities within that time too, IF I can afford it that is!!!

That was rough luck, I am currently working in Frankfurt, lots of people here speak English. I would like to improve my German, but I seldom get a chance, when they see I am having problems they burst into fluent English !!
By the way, the area near the main train station is not safe when you are on your own, best avoided ... I know that infos a bit late now, but for next time.
