oh yeah,
the iim's have wi fi i think
there's jain intl school here in blore which offer wifi access.
hmm, since the hardware is getting cheaper, it will proliferate.
some days ago i got this mail from a guy who wanted to setup a citywide wi fi network using booster antennas and stuff. he was scouting around for people who'd invest.
but, by and far corporates are the ones who use wi fi to the maximum.
lots of software cos here offer wi fi access.
and maybe soon we'll see some warchalking here as well!
@boba.. i think europe is way ahead when it comes to wi fi. are there any hotspots around your city?

AirTel Launches Wi-Fi service in Mumbai Source: Mid-day
October 15, 2004
-------------------------------------------------------------------
AirTel has announced the launch of Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) service in eight premium hot spots in Mumbai.
The list includes Cha Bar at Oxford bookstore, Bombay Gymkhana, Café Mocha outlets, Khyber, Indigo, Jewel of India, and Café Royal.
Airtel will also launch 12 more public Wi-Fi zones by the end of October 2004 in the city, in addition to airport lounges and hotel lobbies.
Users will simply need to walk into a hotspot with their laptop and can automatically go online with Airtel Wifi.
As a launch offer, Airtel customers can avail the company’s Wi-Fi services within the various hotspots in Mumbai absolutely free for the first three months.
