used to be free here in the philippines by globe telecom, but unfortunately the network operator charged the subcribers and even blocked many sites, what a shame...making great things possible--nah, not anymore...

Personally i dont use wap or gprs at all unless its for small things such as email, i dont surf the web on my phone(s).
You think phone companies could offer mobile internet for free, as 9kbps wap or 40kbps grps isnt much of a strain on their networks.. especially when they earn so much money from 35p+ per minute calls on your average PAYG tarrifs.

Do you mean that you use your gprs on your laptop? Its the same thing:-p.
The gprs on o2 isnt meant to be free but they arnt charging but they do want to.

you can hook up your phone to your laptop and surf the 'net using the gprs. Kinda slow but quite useful at times!
