Wow! This is kind of scary. How can we check this out? Mine is from Thailand, model CST-13. Is that a safe one?

i think the charger is made by delta, though if i'm correct this is only for uk, other countries don't have this problem....

to find out if you have a problematic charger go to your countries specific site from
http://www.sonyericsson.com for example the UK site is
here and the charger recall notice is on that UK home page
however it is the charger themselves that is likely to fail if you have a faulty charger, not the device they are plugged into.

so ..no worries.. All is gone.. another life started wid my p900 now..am getting new p900 wow.. they called me and told me that but the delay was cuz they say when they recieve their p900 units they hav to unlock them here from SE site b4 giving out to customers and the site is not working properly rite now.. so the delay .. most probably i will get it 2moro.. my frist one had a scratches on it.. and A crack on part behind the jog dial.. Getting a new one

nope they didnt ask me a thing.. actually i called them and was angry that it was taking soo long.. I gave it on 18th may 15 minutes b4 closing.. that means 18 was gone.. they had 19, 20, 21 was a friday,.. its holiday here.. closed.. then 22,23,24 that was today so i called them today,, just hav to pick it up when they unlock the fone.. I told them they didnt even give me a standby fone.. they said all were gone wid the customers.. was angry at that too.. he apologized instead.. my previous fone i dropped it onc.. had some scratches and one small tiny crack.. it didnt even was noticible.. but i had it in mind.. and once a doubt is their in the mind.. No matter wt u doo .. it doesnt goo.. i always had to live .. that my p900 isnt perfect anymore.. and now they giving me new one.. i will post its pics as soon as i get one.. ok i know all of u have seen it 1000 of times.. but mines a special case.. plz watch it.. hehe ..

I suspect SE might be sensitive about "The Smoking Phone" after that Nokia Blow Yer Pocket Up stuff.
My SE is up the creek at the mo aswell; SIM card not recognised. SE have taken it back (sent someone round to my office to collect it, no less!!) and have promised a solution by the end of the week. If they replace it, what of my registered software? I'm concerned that some of the software is based on the hardware code of the phone. We'll see, I suppose
