I am wondering the same thing that Harleydog just asked. After we right click and select save file... is the animation still going to be saved? I am having a problem because every Screensaver I save gets saved as a Gif File and it does not animate.
I send it to my phone (T68i), it is saved under my pictures and set to be used as the screensaver. When the sc kicks in it shows the pic but it does not animate!
The only screensaver that does animate is the one that came with the phone (the green bouncing ball).
If anyone can help, please do. Thanks a lot!

Found the problem myself. It seems that Microsoft I.E. wont let me see the screen saver, thus does not let me download it properly. I have this option enabled in explorer (to see animated gifs)yet it still does not work. Must be a bug.
I just dl'd Netscape navigator and it worked fine.
If anyone outhere has this problem, try downloading a different browset if playing with the settings of your current browser does not help you.
