Not only the price, but also being a SONY Ericsson, it'd better be damn nice!

It should be, though. I don't have one myself, but I've played with a friend's, and it's pretty hot.

Initial charge should be 16 hours...reqardless of whether it indicates that it is fully charged earlier than that. You should do this for the first 3 charges, making sure to run it right down before recharging. This will help to prolong battery life in the future.
Congrats on your purchase.

Um, I think that P800_Zen_Master needs to learn about the signature line option in their profile, unless they constantly change their signature.

Congratulations! That brings back great memories of when mine arrived. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Yes get a screen protector right away.
While you're at it, take off the flip, and get a Vaja case!

Ventmore, I shall charge it for 16 hours then!
Can I use it whilst it's charging? I don't know if I can wait that long!!!

Although you can use it whilst it is charging, I think it may be better to try your hardest to wait til morning. It should be ready around lunchtime tomorrow.
I know how tempting it will be, but it really does do the battery good. People will tell you that Li-ion batteries as used in the p900 do no develop a memory like other batteries, and to an extent that is true, but not completely. It is also a good idea every few weeks or so to run it right down and give it a good overnight charge.

mate, dont listen to what people say, read the manual! its written by the manufacturer and says to charge the battery 4 hours first time (page 11 in mine)
so many people say all sorts of hours for initial charge but only the manufacturer knows what is best

Says that in mine too masseur. However, I have a lot of experience dealing with these kinds of batteries in alsorts of devices including radios, mobiles, pdas etc.
I can guarantee that the batteries I have cared for properly over the years have given me much better service than the ones I have just topped up whenever.
Also, the manufacturer doesn't care if you wreck your battery in 6 months or so as you are going to go to them for another one...
