Wow, what the hell is going on. Firstly i know you said it was your opinion but it suck. The the 6230 is nothing like a p900, its not smart for a start. And if its making your p900 redundant then that just means you bought a p900 when you didn't all the features. The k700 kicks the 6230 and i'm not
Just saying that as a se fan. If you really want a good camera for taking quality pics get a gx, preferably the gx30

I'm not saying the 6230 is anything like the P900. They are totally different phones. But for ease of use and speed the 6230 wipes the floor with the P900.
I personally don't like the GX30. I find it quite bulky and very don't like Vodafone branding.

I tried the 6230 at a carriers business center. I was totally disappointed. I shouldn't have picked it up in the firstplace.

First thing you notice is that its got such a small screen. the keys feel like they're likely to fall off. I couldn't recognize a face on the recorded video (whether thats due to the screen or the camera - I don't know). It didn't feel solid enough. Basically, I felt like I was holding a kid's toy in my hand and thinking to myself - What were nokia's designers thinking?

I suppose you can't expect the videos to be exceptional, after all it's still just a mobile, u neva sed if the photos were any good? Photo's taken with Sony Ericsson's come out horrible. Even the T630 produces horrible features, and it's supposed to be the improved version of the T610!

I don't see why you have to stay 'brand loyal', if a mobile manufacturer is offering a mobile with better features why wouldn't you buy off them?

I'm just saying I was disappointed with 6230. however I will admit that the 6600's videos and photos look really good.

well thanks for the opinions guys!
i see that as usual not everyone agrees with that the phone is great.
I have also considered buying the 6600, but its just way too big and bulky.
I'll be going to a vodafone store either today or tomorrow, to see if they can update the firmware on my t610, so while im there i'll if i can have a look at the 6600 and 6230.
And about the gx30.. its a bit out of my buget.
i have seen it for 350€ on vodafone, and buying vodafone branded phones annoys me enough, so id rather by an un branded phone with 350€ that the sharp gx30 branded by vodafone

""The camera is of the same type used in Nokia's 7600 and 6600 -- a VGA type, meaning it shoots photos of 640x480 pixels.""

this kind of wins me over..if the camera is the same in the 6600 and the 6230, the 6230 is the one for me!
