I've bought from Phones4U in the past and wouldn't buy from them again but if they're getting them in soon, there will be others I'd imagine.

An observation...

Having a bit of a phone obsession, I've been one of the first to have the last few Nokia phones (6510, 7210, 7250 and 6600) and each one has been failry predictable. There are several websites that seem to have them available for preorder (www.extele.com, www.l8shop.net, www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk) so you know they're coming out soon.

Then I just keep checking with the main phone retailers to see when it's out.

The K700 is to be my first SE phone though and they seem to follow different rules. None of the sites above have it listed yet and getting an approixmate release date seems impossible!

I seem to remember the P800 appearing at The Link and Phones4U first though. Unfortunately!

I dont understand upgrade prices. could someone explain why you would upgrade instead of sign a new contract?

When you upgrade, you agree to stay on a contract with the operator so you sign a new 12 month contract and therefore get a cheaper price with the operator because they wont want to lose a customer. Someone back me up with a better answer
And you get to keep your old number

Normally, when upgrading an old contract you may keep your current phone number, when signing a new contract you'll get a new phone number. That applies for Sweden, at least.

And, you might get a somewhat higher price when upgrading an old contract than when signing a new one.

@del

thanks for your comment but according to the may catalouge which i have there is NO k700. so technically, it has not been in the catalouge for ages - 4 days now! no meanin to be rude but i think ur exaggerating a bit!

even so - axxxr has confirmed that the release date is june 18th. And carphone warehouse arent stupid! do you REALLY THINK that cpw would put a phone in their monthly catalouge that wont be released in that month? they arent stupid and are very successful and dont wanna loose customers!!!!
