We'll see... We'll see... About another fones even I don't know...
Of course it would be cool for us when MTS will launch contract system...
Btw, and BeeLine has contract fones? Simply interesting...

eerm.. I'm not a full insider... too hard to explain...
About vympelkom... I didn't know 'bout they are selling contract fones... That's cool, but as for me, I'm in no need of that kind of fones. But maybe (or certainly) it is a good solution for providers.

Well, coming from a country where phones were sold under contract first (initially over 2 years if I remember correctly) is that you're stuck with the phone and the network and have to spend the entire contract period paying for it. For those who don't use the phone that much or prefer the freedom of being able to switch networks whenever they want, pay when they want (or not as the case may be) Pay As You Go is actually better (PAYG came after contracts and is quite popular over here, more so than SIM-free handsets and buying a seprate SIM, which you can also do) and, believe it or not, managed to make mobile phones available to people on lower incomes or couldn't pass the credit checks that mobile operators insist on for a contract.
A contract over here gets you a number of free calls and free text messages every month, with the option of changing your tariff at least once a month (combination of how many minutes you get, the more you get, the more expensive the monthly "line rental" so the minutes and text allowances aren't really free)
Contract customers usually have a wider choice of handsets than PAYG customers, but any handset available SIM-free can be bought and all of the operators (except 3) sell the SIMs by themselves without a phone, although SIM free handsets are very expesive, even compared to pay as you go!

The lack of these tariffs is so annoying when u are earning not much money but the only phone u want is a p9 :-(

Correcting myself, the phone has only one monochrome display, but the effect of 2 gives the "shell" of da fone, when it's closed, screen gets smaller because of a smaller hole in the shell, and is in the "outside" mode, when opened - it's in the inside mode and in it's real size.
