I like the t-Shirt idea better. Does your company have shirts with their logo? Get them all to sign that, cuz even if you get them to sign your phone, it may rub off in time. Or the ink can also run when you try to spray it with laquer.

If you like I know someone that has a diamond edgin machine (he can then write over your friends name etc and it looks like the back of the ipod (you know the frosted writing?) He did some art work on the back of my Ipod which I managed to sell for quite a bit....So if after you have it done and you are interested then send me a PM and I will pass you on.
Damn he even wrote on some ostrich eggs I had.

For permanency, you can't beat an engraver, but in the hands of the unskilled you could end up with a phone covered incomprehensible spiraling squiggles - engravers aren't the easiest to use.
