Down the high street this morning there were three (qty, not network) shops with banners out saying ANY phone free on £30/month with 400 x-net minutes.

Assuming you can downgrade after 3 months (that's worth checking before you sign!) it'll cost you around £225 for the phone on Vodafone (which isn;t SIM-locked).

If you dont want the Vodafone minutes etc just dont use them - stick your Orange (or whatever) SIM in instead and keep your current number.

I think one of them was ROC, or something like that. I've been in a few times but never noticed the name! I'll check next week and post the details. I haven't read any small print BTW, so check the deal before signing anything!

There're a Phones4U store in Tunbridge Wells that's been doing it too.

I'm gonna have a look tommorow,

Phones4u is out, but we have CPWH, Link, Foneshop, O2, Orange, Vodaphone, TOMO shops down in the one shopping centre so hopefully I'll find a deal.... There was me thinking I'd get a better deal online.

On ebay for cheap, of course that's if you get lucky. I suppose you could keep checking for P900 auctions that finish in like 5 mins or so [and that's IF the price is low]

You can pick one up one on ebay for about £330, providing you check out the seller ie their feedback and if they have squeezed a "not actual phone but link" into the description!
