i heard a rumour that SE is comming with a 1 mill pix cam at the end of 2004 *-) i think thats a big improvement in place of the vga cams we have now ...
however nokia already has the megapix ....
Integrated megapixel (1152 x 864 pixels) camera with 4x digital zoom for quality prints
so i think Se is is to far behind they should make a sprint to keep up their good name ...
and that's just one thing...
correct me if i am wrong...

Too many people worry about the size of things.
Why would you want a phone to resize an image upto 1152x864 (which is just short of a megapixel for the record) when the quality will be awful. I never use VGA interpolation on my t630 for this very reason.

It's not a rumor, you're talking about the s700, which WILL be out (they said) Q4 2004.

Well, my opinion is not for Nokia only.
Even if I like the design of S700 much more than the Nokia I don't think it will be a big seller.
It depends a lot on how you communicate the product. What I say is that I don't think it is good to push the camera too much in the marketing. It's better to say "This is a good phone with a good camera" not "this phone has a very good camera". People want a phone that has a camera. Not a camera that has a phone.

Quote:then why do people want a s700?
because it doesn't have such a poor display like ones in Nokia phones?
because it doesn't have such a bad polyphonic ringtone like one in a Nokia 48-chord polyphonic phone?
because it doesn't have CMOS chip like ones are used in Nokia phones?
all i know, because it is SE and not Nokia.

First off, I just want to say that the main reason I even read this thread is because I thought the title was funny (meaning I didn't understand it!)
EDIT:@draak
Allow me to quote :
"I'm not so good in English i know that ,but you don't have repaet that.

No offense man, but forums are a mean of communication. To communicate is to convey a message. If we are not speaking the same language, it's bad communication. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you do need a translator. We need to understand what you're saying. Even more, it would be nice to know that you're understanding what we're saying because some of us write more than one line to reply...just wanna make sure that it's actually worth our time
Now, to the main issue (I think), I've often thought that Nokia aimed more of their products to a younger clientele while keeping products aimed @ a business clientele pretty limited (Communicators, etc.), whereas SE has more phones that combine business and pleasure (remember the P800 slogan? "Serious fun"?)
Moreover, I personally think that the design team over @ Nokia have some serious issues to deal with...the Robot age is not upon us just yet and I feel that you need to be on some serious drugs to think they're phones look good.
Lastly, I may be repeating myself, but "phones" such as the "N-Gage" or whatever it's called...come on, that looks like a portable video game like a Game Gear or something, I wouldn't dare use it to make a phone call!
Anyhow, Nokia may still have a bigger market share over SE, BUT keep in mind that while SE is catching up, they are doing it using a very simple method : Less phones BUT better quality, a design catches the eye of various age groups and people from different walks of life.
In the end, I think this will make a difference
