Well apparently you can't flash it at a normal store you have to go to a 'service centre' luckily there's one nearby me, by tomorrow evening we'll know for sure.

hi
im thinking of getting a k700 on vodafone live and flashing it straight away...
Does this void the warrenty????
If so does it void it even for things that have nothing to do with the firmware (like the camera or the antena)??

If you're planning on getting rid of the Vodafone customisation, it isn't that straightforward. A SE service centre that re-flashes this phone, will ONLY re-flash it with the Vodafone firmware. In order to remove the vodafone customisation, you'll need to talk to people like the kind folks at http://www.mobilexchange.net/ to see if they have the facilities to do this on the K700 yet. They de-branded my old T610 about a year ago.

@lee: thanks for the advice, but im getting a terminator dongle very soon, and seeing as the conection at the bottom of the phone is the same as all i am hoping that i will be able to flash my "future" k700, and definitly my current t610.
I just want to know if by flashing it (my phone ) i will void the warranty of my phone..

You won't be able to flash your K700 with a Terminator but you can completely update the T610 and remove all branding.

To read all about this and get all the software and firmware files you need, go to

i dont mean to sound funny, but im sure that very shortly the terminator dongle will work on the k700, it just needs to be adapted..
