Nope, still dosn't work! I have tried carrying on with the sequence and still end up on whatever I have set as the shortcut everytime. I have even tried to diactivate the shortcut for the right joystick and now I end up with 3 stars in a box as if I am dialling a number. I know that I am using the right sequence because it is the same as my old T610 that I had no problems at all accessing.

ok well it should work but here is a sure fire way... (in theory

)
turn your phone OFF and ensure the power is applied and the phone is charging
then apply the sequence. This way shortcuts will have nothing to do with it
it does work in this state as I just reconfirmed it

I managed to get it to work before (have got R2A so will get it upgraded) but it has stopped again now!
@masseur, I am at work now but will try your way when I get home, if that doesn't work it must just be my big dopey fingers!!!
Thanks for the help.

the sequence should work, even when there is an assigned shortcut to the right movement.

just tried it on mine and you dont seem to be able to actually CHANGE anyway, theres a few disgnostic tests but nothing that will let you actually change any settings.

I know you can't change anything but you can check which version of the FW you are running.

Thankyou soooo much!
By getting into this menu, i was able to turn the earpieve voulme up to its loudest! Now i can hear who i'm talking too! Thought this was a problem with the phone!
Thanks again, Si
whats all that about then? i had a look at the volumes which are under the diganostic testing section and although it lets you go up and down to hear it, it has no bearing on the phone volume and if you set it to max then exit and go back in, youll find it back on the same level again, because its for testing the volumn i assume and not actually setting anything. It didnt sound it would be settings for the phone since its under a testing menu, but people seem to be confused about what you can do in this menu, it has no real use at all other than seeing the firmware version.
